Thomas Charles has spent more than three and a half decades learning what makes clothing fit. Not almost fit, or fit well enough, but fit the way it was meant to. As owner and master tailor of Westfield Tailors, he does that work himself, every day, in the heart of downtown Westfield.
His range is rare. In a single week Thomas might bustle a bridal gown, take in a groom's jacket, hem a teenager's first prom suit and taper a favorite pair of jeans. He also makes clothes from scratch, including custom suits, shirts, trousers, sports coats and dresses, and he has even turned his needle to pillows, drapes and Roman shades.
